Meditation Instructor & Somatic Breath Work Instructor

Eben Oroz, MS, RMHCI

Eben is a world-class yoga teacher with over 12 years of experience leading yoga, breathwork, and meditation practices across the U.S., Central and South America, Europe, and India. He also holds a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology and currently works with addiction and recovery.

Driven by a deep interest in executive functioning and the meditative mind, Eben has engaged in a wide range of immersive practices. These include ritualistic fasting, studying the effects of light deprivation on cognitive performance, completing 10-day silent meditation retreats, running 30- and 50-mile ultra-marathons, trekking on pilgrimage through some of the world’s highest mountain ranges, and embracing yogic renunciation culture in India.

At his core, Eben sees the mind as a vast, dynamic, and essential frontier and yoga, breathwork, and meditation as powerful and exhilarating paths toward improved executive functioning, personal agency, and what he calls existential strength: the ability to remain psychologically receptive under the weight of life’s unchangeable chapters of stress and suffering.

Eben’s work has simplified and concentrated the more effective elements of traditional yogic somatic practices into accessible new protocols that his client's refer to as "yoga games." The central thesis of this work is that the body, when controlled and held with skill and knowledge, can remarkably improve the quality of our thoughts, moods, and behaviors.
